I'm Ilaria & I was recently married in September of 2023 to a Portuguese Man but born and raised in Napoli Italy! (don't let the last name deceive you, she's a FULL blown Italian Girl). Next to my Italian roots, I would say the next important thing to me would be my two French Bulldogs , Zara & Mia. I am OBSESSED with fashion, personal care, home-decor & organization (the OCD is real), Amazon, cooking and all things WINE & SEAFOOD. Travelling the world, raising a beautiful family and owning a property in Italy are my life goals.

I am fuelled by putting my creativity to use, I thrive off of always needing to be trying something new, building something new and experiencing something new. I went down a path of going to business school and educating myself with all of the different business umbrellas. I have been working full-time in the Advertising Industry for 5 years and have a strong knowledge-base in all things Marketing and Customer Relationship Management.
I have always said to myself that I was not built for the 9-5 corporate lifestyle and want to become my own boss and build my own empire. I tried this with many side ventures but I knew this was where I was meant to land, with my #1 gal in life who shared the exact same dreams as I did. After throwing together many stunning events of my own and for families, Destinee and I knew this was our calling.
I am so overjoyed as we both bring so many unique things to the table with our different personalities but similar wants, combined to bring you Just Girly Things. With our creativity, attention to detail, outgoing and go-getter attitude, perfectionist demeanour and love for the girls! We have curated a business for the girls, from the girls, where we can all become friends & fall in love with your LOVE!

I'm Destinee and I'm so glad you're here! I was born and raised in the GTA with my two younger siblings, with whom I adore very much. I like to spend my free time binge-watching tv shows, listening to music, cooking my favourite dishes or spending quality time with family, friends & my Morkie baby Lily.
I'm a Finance Girly by day and a dreamer by night, which is how I ended up on this path. For as long as I can remember I have dreamed of becoming a GIRL BOSS. With a heart full of ambition and a head buzzing with creativity, that dream become reality this year.. and what better way to do it than with my Best Friend, Ilaria. For me, planning events isn't just about logistics and timelines; it's about crafting experiences that leave a lasting impression. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, I pour my soul into every detail, ensuring that each event is a reflection of one's vision and personality.

Before working in Finance, I worked in the Advertising and Marketing Industry which taught me a lot about how to put yourself out there and work hard to achieve your goals. It taught me a lot about self-discipline and pushed me to become stronger in so many ways. One of those ways being to not be afraid of choosing you and what you want. After years of contemplation, Ilaria and I decided that we had nothing to lose and chose the path of Entrepreneurship, specifically within the Event Planning Industry because there is nothing we enjoy more than making people happy and seeing them smile.

As we are girls girls, there was not a better way than for us to start a company that was for the girls, a place for them to feel seen, heard and a place for them to feel special. With that, we give you Just Girly Things.
